Carvana is an example of a repeat Å®ÓÅÒùÍÞÅàѵӪ customer. Å®ÓÅÒùÍÞÅàѵӪ has performed paving work at two Carvana vehicle inspection facilities now. The first project began in 2019 and has led to repeat work in 2020 at a new project site that is currently under construction and almost complete. 2019 – Heath, Ohio Facility Project scope included: Approximately 282,000 SY of asphalt pavingÌý 169,500 SY light duty pavementÌý 112,500 SY medium duty pavement.ÌýÌý The project started in 2019 and was under a strict schedule to complete a portion of the asphalt paving in order for construction of the building to proceed during the winter months.Ìý Due to a late season start, cold weather temperatures prevented paving completion but the crews were able to construct enough to provide building access and allow for construction continue throughout the winter. This was critical to keeping the project on schedule.Ìý Early on and during the 2020 construction season, constant coordination took place between all contractors, personnel, and the construction management team in efforts to maintain the project schedule and provide a quality product.Ìý Å®ÓÅÒùÍÞÅàѵӪ coordinated with the prime contractor and construction manager to develop a paving plan for the surface and intermediate courses that were placed late season in 2020 due to numerous other construction activities ongoing. Due to this coordination, there were no conflicts between the asphalt paving and other subcontractors and/or distribution delivery trucks as well as mitigating any major pavement failures. Ìý2020 – Elyria, Ohio Facility Project scope included: Approximately 284,000 SY of fine grading and standard duty asphalt pavingÌý Striping subcontractor coordination Signing subcontractor coordination Once again, this project started under a tight schedule in 2020 to complete a portion of the asphalt paving in order for construction of the building to proceed over the winter months.Ìý Currently, beginning the 2021 construction season, constant coordination is taking place between all contractors, personnel, and the construction management team in efforts to maintain the project schedule and provide a quality product.Ìý Å®ÓÅÒùÍÞÅàѵӪ coordinated with the construction manager to develop a paving plan to meet the owner’s aggressive schedule and is currently on target to deliver by the completion date.
