Transportation DUBLIN LINK PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

INSIDE THE PROJECT

Å®ÓÅÒùÍÞÅàѵӪ served as the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) to the City of Dublin, Ohio to construct a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Scioto River. ThisÌýiconic landmark connects downtown Dublin to the future Riverside Crossing Park.

Å®ÓÅÒùÍÞÅàѵӪ began foundation work in May 2017 and self-performed the construction of all bridge foundations, bridge piers, the construction of the 172-feet-tall main pylon that supports the suspension cables, and the bridge deck totaling 2,100-cubic-yards of structural concrete; the installation of 608-feet of 120 mm main cable and 1,727-feet of 21 mm hanger cables, and the installation of 760 feet of variable geometry structural steel triangular box segments.Ìý Of the 760-feet-long span, 500-feet is suspended by one main suspension cable on either side of architectural main pylon.

Å®ÓÅÒùÍÞÅàѵӪ worked closely with the City of Dublin and designer T.Y. Lin to resolve constructability issues during the plan finalization process.Ìý This allowed for savings to the owner along with increased time to develop solutions to the unique challenges that the geometry of the project presented.
